Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress, best known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Later, in 1956, she got her first big break on Broadway along with Li'l abner. In 1957, she made her debut album called It's time for Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. When she was in New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her friendship and friendship with Lee Strasberg.
