David Muir is a journalist and anchor from the United States. The most well-known of his shows is World News Tonight. Its stunning video footage as well as its animated gestures has made it the top watched American newscast. Made In America, his Emmy award-winning show, is another of his many achievements. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. He covered a number of primetime ABC News specials, including Breaking Point - Heroin in America. He's traveled all over the world to cover news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico. He has been awarded multiple Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards, as well as awards of The Associated Press.
